Wood-fired mugs were fired in two Groundhog-style wood kilns in Tres Piedras, New Mexico, by a team of roughly 20 people for 5 days total. Wood firing allows for a multitude of surface details to appear, such as crystal formations, carbon trapping, and color changes from the original glaze formulation. Each wood-fired pot is one of one and cannot be entirely reproduced in its likeness.
